From ages 7 and up | 2018
Luce is a little girl kept by her mother, the “village idiot”, within the confines of their home. When Solange, the primary school teacher, opens the school’s doors to her, it is like a breath of fresh air that stirs the child, now standing at the threshold between two worlds.
Torn between conflicting desires to turn inward and to reach out, hovering between ignorance and knowledge, between her mother and her teacher, she balances on the fine line like a tightrope walker. But Luce is the flower that grows up through the cracks in the sidewalk…
In a story of personal emergence, the actors in this strange and endearing trio play in a moving space, a set like a cocoon, enriched with video projections and puppet-like elements.
